This role is on the Shared Capabilities team, which is responsible for implementing transformative capabilities across the entire enterprise. We're looking for someone to help us envision and build those core services that underpin all Thomson Reuters' products.

You will play a key role in the development of product vision, strategy, and roadmap, and set key business objectives (OKRs) for this role. You will lead the discovery, development, and release of features for Customer Profile and will be the “voice of the customers” to ensure their needs are met and the product development team is getting the direction and support it needs to be successful. You will gather use cases, document requirements, and maintain a product backlog outlining the customer themes, epics, and stories while prioritizing the backlog to focus on the highest impact work for customers and stakeholders.

About The Role

In this opportunity as Product Manager, Customer Profile, you will help in:

  • Roadmap and Vision: Develop and communicate a clear product roadmap that aligns with the company's overall strategy and objectives. Continuously refine the roadmap based on market trends, customer feedback, and business goals.
  • UI/UX Management: Drive the user experience and interface design efforts by working closely with design teams. Ensure that the products deliver intuitive, visually appealing, and user-centric interfaces that enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Scrum Team Leadership: Lead and manage a cross-functional scrum team, including developers, designers, and other stakeholders. Foster a collaborative and high-performing environment that delivers high-quality products on schedule. Ensure that the product backlog is up to date and prioritized with stories to keep the engineering team effective and fully occupied.
  • Technical Expertise: Leverage your technical knowledge of web technologies, Identity, and Access manage (IAM ) and APIs to make informed decisions during product development. Collaborate effectively with the development team to ensure the feasibility and optimal execution of technical requirements. Possess a fundamental understanding of end-to-end customer experience integration and dependencies
  • Market and Data Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs. Conduct market research and analyze internal data to identify opportunities for product enhancements or new features that address emerging market demands.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments, including sales, marketing, and customer support, to gather insights and feedback. Use this information to refine product strategies and address customer pain points effectively.
  • Requirements Gathering: Work closely with stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize product requirements. Translate these requirements into clear epics, and user stories, ensuring that they align with business goals and customer needs.
  • Release Management: Coordinate product releases and updates, ensuring timely delivery of features while maintaining product quality. Communicate release plans to internal teams and customers as necessary.
  • Be the driving force for onboarding of the Customer Profile across our suite of products.

About You

You're a fit for the role of Product Manager, Customer Profile if your background includes:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 2 years experience as a product manager or owner in web-based products and/or API’s.
  • Proficiency in UI/UX principles with a track record of collaborating effectively with design teams.
  • Strong technical background with a deep understanding of web technologies and APIs
  • Demonstrated experience in enterprise product life cycle management.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing cross-functional scrum teams.
  • Good understanding of agile methodologies and scrum processes/ceremonies.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data-driven insights for decision-making.
  • Problem-solving orientation and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts in easy-to-understand terminology.
  • History of partnering and collaborating with architects and engineers in writing clear user stories.
