Responsibilities:

  1. Team Supervision: Lead and supervise gas station attendants and cashiers, ensuring they adhere to company policies, deliver excellent customer service, and perform their duties efficiently and safely.
  2. Customer Service: Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming demeanor, assist with fueling, provide information on services and products offered, address customer inquiries, and resolve any issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
  3. Fuel Inventory Management: Monitor fuel inventory levels and place orders with suppliers to ensure an adequate supply of fuel at all times, minimizing the risk of shortages or disruptions in service.
  4. Cash Management: Oversee cash handling procedures, including monitoring cash registers and performing cash drops as needed. Ensure that all transactions are accurately recorded and that cashiers adhere to proper cash handling protocols.
  5. Safety and Environmental Compliance: Conduct regular safety inspections to identify and address potential hazards. Ensure that safety equipment, such as fire extinguishers and emergency shut-offs, is in good working condition. Comply with environmental regulations and implement measures to minimize environmental impact.
  6. Station Maintenance: Ensure the gas station premises are clean, well-maintained, and presentable to customers. Schedule and oversee routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning fuel pumps and maintaining convenience store areas.
  7. Training and Development: Provide training to new hires, ensuring they are knowledgeable about safety protocols, customer service expectations, and the operation of equipment. Offer ongoing coaching and development to the team to enhance their skills and performance.
  8. Inventory and Convenience Store Management: Manage inventory for convenience store items and automotive supplies, ensuring appropriate stock levels, organizing displays, and coordinating restocking as needed.
  9. Reports and Documentation: Prepare and maintain reports on fuel sales, inventory levels, and other operational metrics. Keep accurate records of cash and credit card transactions for accounting purposes.
  10. Customer Loyalty Programs: Implement and promote customer loyalty programs or promotions to enhance customer retention and attract new customers to the gas station.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in the retail or gas station industry.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Customer-focused with excellent interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and environmental standards in the fuel industry.
  • Basic math and cash handling proficiency.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that may involve lifting and standing for extended periods.
