TRUCK DRIVER
Hours of work: 50-60 hours per week
Location: Wainwright, Alberta
Job Type: Full-Time, overtime as required
Wage: $32 to $35 per hour

Summary
This position serves as a primary point of contact for the receiving, transporting and delivering of livestock and feed products within the agricultural industry. You will ensure that products are safely delivered to the required destinations.
Duties May Include
- Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
- Perform emergency roadside repairs
- Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
- Perform preventive maintenance
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption
- Load, unload and transfer crates, supplies, farm produce, and livestock
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certifications: Air Brakes Endorsement, Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)
- Documentation knowledge, Bill of lading, Driver logbook, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Maintenance and repair reports
- Communication systems experience: Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment
- Experience driving Dry Bulk and Tractor-trailer trucks
- Experience hauling livestock an asset
- Ability to provide customer service in professional manner
- Attention to detail, excellent interpersonal communication, flexible, possess good judgement, organized, reliable, and a team player
- Physically fit, able to handle heavy loads (45kg/100 lbs) and sit for long periods of time
- Valid Driver’s license, and clean driving abstract
