What are we looking for? ?

We want YOU to join our small team! ? We're on the hunt for a fab content creator who knows social media and digital marketing in and out! If you've got a knack for ? filming and video creation, plus you're comfy on the cam, you're the one!

This role is contractual and part-time. This is a fully-remote position and open to candidates worldwide, but preference will be given to those based in Canada with availability to work around Eastern Standard Time working hours. The hours for this role are derived from the workload which could be fluctuating between approximately 12-15 hours per month. The pay will be a budgeted rate with a number of tasks/projects allocated in a given month plus the potential for more work to be allocated, depending on task suitability and performance.

What will you *exactly* do? ?

  • Research and develop creative content ideas related to social media and digital marketing (think best practices, industry updates, tips and tricks, strategy, innovation in marketing, etc.)
  • Create eye-catching, aesthetic, fun, and educational content for our social media platforms
  • Plan, script, film, and edit short-format videos
  • Generate clear, concise, and well-written copy for captions to go along with the media created
  • Conduct hashtag research for the content created
  • Hop on Content Planning meetings with the team
  • Collaborate on project management tools like Asana, Notion, etc.
  • Manage content creation tasks in a timely and professional manner
  • Communicate on the team Slack to share updates from time to time

What do you bring to the table?

  • Strong creativity with content creation, and filming skills
  • You're comfortable and confident creating camera-facing, talking-style videos
  • Foundational digital marketing knowledge or background, with a focus on social media marketing
  • Understanding the social media industry plus up-and-coming marketing trends and knowing how to analyze them
  • Fluent communication in English (reading, writing, speaking, and listening)
  • Knowing how to incorporate humor into content and speaking in line with our brand voice
  • Understanding of Millennial and Gen-Z mannerisms, slang, and humor ?
  • Knowing how to communicate with our community in a humanely manner to nurture our audience
  • Portfolio showcasing creative, talking videos or UGC-style shoots
  • Passionate about all things social media and marketing
  • Upbeat, friendly, and positive vibes
  • You love memes ?
  • Co-operative teamwork skills
  • Willingness to learn
