Candidates are invited to apply for the Part time of Receptionist Clerk to work in Extendicare’s 169-bed managed facility located in Scarborough, Ontario.

Reporting to the Business Manager, the Receptionist Clerk is responsible for directing all incoming calls, receives visitors to the facility and performs clerical duties as required.

Responsibilities

• Presents and promotes a positive image of business office and the facility to residents, family, guests, outside services and community. Assumes role of Director of First Impressions during tour of duty.
• Answers telephone and places outgoing calls as requested
• Performs clerical work as assigned from all Department Managers
• Handles payments from families, sells meal tickets,
• Monitors front door to ensure residents’ safety
• Performs other duties as assigned by Office Coordinator and DOC Clerk
• Adheres to established department policies and procedures regarding quality assurance, fire, safety, WHMIS, environment and infection control

QUALIFICATIONS

• Applicants must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and presentation
• Knowledge and experience of office equipment
• Organizational skills are essential
• Proficiency in Word and Excel is a must.
• Must be available weekdays 9 am -5 pm and weekends 9am-5pm.
• Must be proficient in English, other languages would be an asset.
