As an Event Marketing Assistant your main responsibility will be to assist the Advertising Account Manager and promotional sales team in the creation, implementation and execution of direct marketing & promotional strategies for advertising campaigns across the Mississauga area designed to fit specific clients' needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Advertising Account Manager and promotional sales team in creating cost-effective regional promotional solutions with a specialized scale to target a specific demographic and market
- Assist in coordinating various types of on-site promotional sales techniques to stimulate demand for each client’s products/services/brands
- Display the promotional materials at on-site and in-store events, establish consumer connection and brand loyalty in a person-to-person interactive environment
- Proactively identify new promotional techniques to increase brand loyalty and increased profit
As an Event Marketing Assistant, you will:
- Listen, understand, and take quick action. Like all of us, customers just want someone to listen and help get their problems solved. You'll do both.
- Assist customers in selecting the products and services that best suit their technology and communications goals and help to set up the account.
- Process upgrades, downgrades, new product purchases, and facilitate delivery and installation efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain excellent time management, professional customer service at all times, and be able to balance multiple projects and responsibilities.

What You Need to Get Started:
- 1-2 years in a customer based role
- Excellent interpersonal skills, tact, and a track record of success with customer-facing roles
- Ability to handle pressure, prioritize, and multi-task during the course of a business day
- Tech-savvy, or the ability to pick up concepts quickly
- Enthusiasm and aptitude for learning new skills
Qualifications:
- A university degree or college diploma in communications, marketing, public relations or a related field preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and presentation skills
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work at the speed of the business and meet tight deadlines
- Keen attention to detail and very process oriented
- Travel to on-site promotional advertising & marketing areas will be required
