We are looking for Service Attendants to provide exceptional customer service on our trains. In a unique work environment, your role will be to provide a great travel experience to all travelers.

In collaboration with your colleagues, you’ll have to accompany our passengers with professionalism throughout their trip: helping them with luggage, serving food, ensuring their safety, and providing all the necessary attention. As each trip is unique, your daily life will be too. Tasks and your schedule will vary depending on routes and passengers.

Based in Ottawa, you will make the routes of, for example, Toronto and Montreal.

What are the duties of Service Attendants?

  • Providing unparalleled professional service to all travelers.
  • Accompanying our passengers on their trips and providing assistance with luggage.
  • Ensuring the well-being and safety of passengers on board.
  • Selling and serving meals, including food and alcohol.
  • Providing janitorial services for work areas and washrooms.

SCHEDULE
You are available to work:

  • on variable schedule including weekends and holidays and on call (no guaranteed hours)
  • for extended periods (approx. 2-3 days) away from home

TRAINING
You will follow a seven-week training session which must be successfully completed before obtaining the position.

STARTING DATE
The training will start March 4th, 2024, in Toronto.

Requirements:
What are the requirements for this position?

  • Be available to work variable schedules, on call including weekends and holidays (holiday bonuses).
  • Be available to travel away from home on each trip for 1–3 days.
  • Communicate with a smile, in English and French—orally only.
  • Have a high school diploma.
  • Have at least one year of experience in customer service.
  • Be physically able to repetitively handle weights of up to 23 kg (50 lbs., the equivalent of a large suitcase). Anyone can do it easily with the right technique.
