OVERVIEW
The House Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional guest service through high standards of cleanliness and a timely response to guest requests.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
- Respond to guests requests in a timely and courteous manner.
- Strip vacant guest rooms of bedding, towels, garbage etc.
- Prepare laundry for either onsite or offsite laundry.
- Process laundry including treating stains, loading, unloading and folding.
- Clean and maintain meeting spaces, pool area, BBQ’s, ice machine areas, and back of house areas.
- Ensure all storage rooms, supplies and equipment are kept stocked and in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Understand and make certain the correct usage, storage and handling of all cleaning agents, materials, equipment and chemicals.
- Report all damages and/or maintenance requirements.
- Report all lost and found following Resort procedures.
- Maintain and organize the pool area (during summer season only).
- Complete rug, carpet and upholstered furniture cleaning as required.
- Maintain housekeeping carts in a clean and orderly fashion.
- Remove trash/dirty laundry from outside guest room doors.
- Assist with the training of other team members.
- Perform duties of House Attendant or Public Spaces Attendant as required.
REQUIREMENTS
- Works well under pressure, can multi-task and is able to prioritize.
- Possess a keen eye for detail.
- Self-starter, with time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Knowledge of WHIMS and chemical use.
- Flexible, efficient and punctual.
- Able to work independently, or team environment.
- Able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 30 pounds without assistance.
- Able to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Stand, sit, or walk for an extended periods of time.
- Qualified applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada and, where applicable, possess a valid work or study permit that allows the candidate to fulfill the requirements of the role.
Wage: $22.00 per hour including summer incentive bonus.
Job Type: Permanent, Seasonal.
Schedule: Full time, Part Time – including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
