Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine groundskeeping tasks, including mowing lawns, trimming shrubs, and planting flowers.
  • Maintain and care for outdoor landscapes by watering, fertilizing, and applying pesticides as needed.
  • Clean and maintain walkways, parking areas, and common outdoor areas.
  • Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment, such as mowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers.
  • Assist with landscape design and installation projects, including planting trees, flowers, and shrubs.
  • Ensure proper irrigation and drainage systems are functioning effectively.
  • Remove debris and maintain a neat and orderly appearance of outdoor spaces.
  • Collaborate with the landscaping team to develop and execute seasonal landscaping plans.
  • Identify and address issues related to pest control, disease, or landscaping deterioration.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and practices while operating equipment and working outdoors.
  • Maintain and repair fences, gates, and other outdoor structures.
  • Keep records of maintenance tasks, inventory, and equipment usage.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding maintenance needs.
  • Respond to immediate landscaping needs, such as snow removal and storm cleanup.
  • Uphold the organization’s commitment to sustainability and environmentally friendly practices.
  • Assist in maintaining and managing outdoor lighting systems.
  • Monitor plant health and growth, taking necessary actions to ensure healthy landscapes.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills.

Qualifications:

      High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

  • Prior experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or related roles is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of landscaping techniques, plant care, and outdoor maintenance.
  • Familiarity with operating and maintaining landscaping equipment.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor, lift heavy objects, and work outdoors.
  • Attention to detail and an eye for aesthetics in outdoor spaces.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of irrigation systems and pest control methods.
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing weather conditions and landscaping needs.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record may be required.
