Position Overview
Under the general direction of Program Director, the Clinical Manager provides leadership for the health care team in promoting patient centered care. The Clinical Manager ensures that adequate human and material resources are available to support the delivery of safe, quality patient care. The Clinical Manager creates an environment that enables the facility to fulfill its mission and performance goals. The Clinical Manager seeks to promote and maintain a positive, professional, team oriented and service conscious environment. The Clinical Manager demonstrates a commitment to the vision, values, goals, and objectives of the facility.
Experience
- A minimum of five years of health care experience within the past seven years including current experience in the specific area.
- A minimum of two years of management experience with demonstrated leadership, critical thinking, and management skills.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
- A Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from a recognized University. Consideration may be given to an experienced candidate who will acquire a Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent within an agreed upon timeframe.
- Master’s Degree preferred.
- A comprehensive knowledge of nursing theory and current practice.
- Advanced educational preparation related to the area preferred.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
- Current registration with College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
Qualifications And Skills
- ŸAn ability to communicate in English in both written and verbal form
- ŸDemonstrated ability to foster an interdisciplinary collaborative environment that supports quality patient care/quality improvement, risk management and an empowerment practice model.
- Demonstrated experience reflecting self-direction and creativity in developing programs and facilitating change.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment.
